全名為「Stereo Pick-up」的 Ortofon SPU 唱頭，從推出以來擁有不少黑膠迷支持和愛戴。

​SPU#1S 採用圓型針尖，S 即是 Spherical 的意思。唱頭設計是連唱殼一起的，只需選用適當接口設計的唱臂， 就可以 Plug & Play - 屬 MC 型唱頭，唱頭殼是利用木粉混合樹脂製成，內置線圈使用高純度 OFC 銅線繞製。

Compatibility

With their universal connector, the SPU #1 models ensure the ability to mount the units in a wider range of tonearms with universal (SME) mount, e.g., the Ortofon Reference tonearms. The combination of SPU #1, the ST-7 Moving Coil transformer and Ortofon Reference tonearms gives a supreme experience. Sonically, the SPU #1 models are genuine SPUs, known for their full-bodied and powerful music image, minimum of intermodulation distortion, and an impressive channel separation, a perfect solution for the playback of stereo recordings.
